MetaHeritage Final Event

On 22 October 2026, EHH participated in the activities of Heritage Innovation for Europe’s Regions. Digital Technologies, New Business Models and Sustainable Tourism, the final event of the MetaHeritage project. Members of the consortium, as well as partners, innovators, and interested public, gathered at the Emilia-Romagna Regional Office in Brussels to showcase key results and explore some of the latest trends within immersive technologies in Europe.
An internal consortium meeting was held the previous day, allowing participants to discuss and review the progress made in recent months, as well as pending tasks to be completed be before the project’s definite closure at the end of this year. Fernando Pichardo Ríos, Communications & Project Manager, presented the milestones and KPIs achieved, as well as the deliverables completed by EHH during this final phase.
Martina Gueli, our Head of Office, presented 4 Business Cases and 2 pilot projects that comprise Work Package 5 (WP5), a core section of the project that aimed to facilitate interregional cooperation among targeted regional innovation ecosystems, in line with the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) instrument. She addressed the collection of market gaps, proposed models, key components, and revenue systems that sustain the proposed business models, thus deriving in scalable value chains that intersect with tourism, culture, creative industries, digital content, and heritage services.
The half-day conference also provided a major opportunity to discuss the role of digital tools in the access, visibility, and interpretation of heritage, as well as disseminating real-life innovative solutions for digital heritage and immersive experiences. It also provided a space to generate investment and project ideas that could feed into future EU proposals or business cases involving policymakers, organisations, SMEs, and technology providers.
