10th NextGen Cultural Weekend: Trondheim

Our 10th NextGen Cultural Weekend took place September 4th–6th 2026, in Trondheim, Norway. Returning and first-time participants came together for a weekend of visits to historic properties, museums and cultural sites across Trondheim.

The weekend kicked off with a welcome reception and dinner at Granåsen. The next day, we explored the Archbishop’s Palace Museum and the historic city residence Huitfeldtgården before continuing to Ferstad Gård and Ringve Manor and Museum, where our guide led us through the different rooms while playing music on various instruments.

The programme also took us to Leangen Gård, where we were welcomed by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Trondheim, and concluded on Sunday with visits to Bakke Gård and Bakke Church.

Throughout the weekend, participants had plenty of opportunities to reconnect, welcome new members, and exchange experiences around Europe’s historic houses.
