Owners’ Circle 2024

The Owners’ Circle Congress 2024, held from September 19th to 22nd in the stunning Le Marche region of Italy, was a tremendous success. Organised by European Historic Houses in collaboration with Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (ADSI), the event centred on the theme “Heritage as a Driver for Regional Revitalisation.” This second edition offered a rich programme of cultural and networking activities, highlighting the critical role of heritage in regional development and preservation.

The congress opened on September 19th with an optional visit to Villa Sgariglia in Grottammare, where participants toured the villa’s historic architecture and gardens, followed by a delightful seafood dinner. From the 20th to the 22nd, attendees explored cultural landmarks in Ascoli Piceno, including the Cathedral, Piazza del Popolo, and Ventidio Basso Theatre. The agenda also featured a visit to the restored Castel di Luco and the ongoing restoration of Palazzo Saladini di Rovetino.

The heart of the congress took place on September 21st at Auditorium Emidio Neroni, where experts discussed heritage preservation’s social impact, and the evening gala dinner at the Civic Picture Gallery provided the perfect setting for further opportunities for networking. The final day focused on the restoration efforts at Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi, supported by EU PNRR funds, followed by a light lunch buffet. Throughout the event, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on sustainable heritage and regional revitalisation strategies.
