The Future of the Past: European Historic Houses in the Modern Era

On 15 October, our Honorary President, Rodolphe De Looz Corswarem, and our NextGen Group Coordinator, Nicoline Schaub, took part in the panel “The Future of the Past: European Historic Houses in the Modern Era” at the Europa Gallery of the European Parliament in Dublin.
The event was hosted by our member, Historic Houses of Ireland, in collaboration with the European Parliament and Open House Dublin 2025, the city’s annual architecture festival.
Moderated by Thomas Emmet, EHH Next Gen board member and Events and External Relations Officer at Historic Houses of Ireland, the panel discussion was an excellent opportunity to explore how historic houses are addressing today’s challenges — from preservation and innovation to financial sustainability, public engagement, and generational transition
