The Erasmus+ funded CHARTER Alliance (Cultural Heritage Actions to Refine Training, Education and Roles) was a significant four-year Erasmus+ Blueprint project focused on creating a lasting, comprehensive sectoral skills strategy to guarantee that Europe possesses the necessary cultural heritage skills for sustainable societies and economies.
This included skills like digital/technological and green/blue economy competencies. The consortium brought together 28 members representing top education and training organisations, networks, and employers in the European cultural heritage sector.
European Historic Houses contributed to various work packages (WP [1-7]), involving Project Coordination and Management, Strategic analysis of Cultural Heritage competencies and occupational profiles, Vocational Education and Training (VET), Sectoral and professional dynamics, Alliances, Sustainable Strategies, and Policy recommendations, Communication and Dissemination, as well as Quality and Evaluation.
Along with 46 other European cultural heritage organisations, we worked to create a stable and enduring sector. Over the course of four years, the Erasmus+ funded project’s aims to enhance the professionalism of the sector and showcase its contribution to sustainable societies and economies reulted in an extensive policy recommendation as well as an incredible skills strategy.
